How to fix error NW-3-6 on Netflix

Follow the steps below to fix this error:

  1. Restart your home network

When you face this error. Try to turn off all your devices, and unplug all the home network equipment. Leave them for 30 seconds and plug them all back in.  Do the same to your TV.

  1. Restore your network connection settings to default

Your device may connect to a server that Netflix can not identify. Maybe you use a VPN or proxy to access the internet, you have to disconnect it and restore the internet settings to your provider’s default settings.

  1. Connect your device directly to your modem

You can connect directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable.

To do this:

  • Unplug your device: Roku, Xbox one, etc
  • Directly connect the device to the modem using an Ethernet cable.
  • Unplug the modem for 30. Then plug it back in.
  • Exercise patience until the indicator light stops blinking. Then plug back your device.

How to Fix: Netflix error code NW-2-5

Netflix error code NW-2-5 as mentioned earlier is one of the common errors Netflix users face. The error code starts with NW. This means it is an error that has to do with a network connection. When it appears on the screen, it shows the device is having problems connecting to Netflix.

This error may be caused by:

  • Poor or No internet connection
  • Faulty network router
  • Wrong connection settings.

Follow the steps below to solve the error:

Step 1: Check if your home network supports streaming

Your network may lack streaming capacity. This could be a result of:

Blocked Network: Some schools or workplaces block Netflix services.

Slow network: The network might be too slow due to multiple users connected to it.

Low bandwidth: Low bandwidth occurs as a result of many devices connected to your network. This affects the streaming of videos.

So, in case you are facing any of the problems listed above. Make sure you have access to a fast network, unblock your network, and reduce the fight for your network.

Step 2: Test your internet connection

You will face Netflix error code NW-2-5 if your internet connection is low. To fix this, first check your connection by using an online speed test:fast.com/ or on your computer.

After the test, if it turns out that your connection is working. It means the issue is not with the connection. But if it is not working, it could be that your modem/ router is faulty.

Step 3: Check your streaming device’s DNS settings

DNS settings are used to check a domain name (URL address) to an IP address. It works this way. When you type in www.netflix.com on your browser,  the DNS settings will ensure you get to the correct Netflix service IP address.

What you need to do in this case is:

  • Go to your device’s network settings.
  • Click the automatic option for DNS settings
  • Then reboot your device

It will restore the correct settings if there were any changes.

Step 4: Reboot your streaming device

If your streaming device has issues, it could lead to an NW-2-5 error. You won’t be able to connect to the internet. To fix this, just reboot or restart your device by unplugging it from the power source and plugging it back.

If you have a set-box like Roku. You can reboot it by pressing the reset button at the back of the box.

Step 5. Boost your Wi-Fi signal coverage

The error may occur if there’s a problem with your Wi-Fi signal. The reason could be:

  • Something is obstructing your signal. It could be a door, wall, or any item
  • It could be that your router is far away from your device
